Jesus Messiah ~ Light of the World

Sunday, we sang a Chris Tomlin song that my husband and I have both grown to love. As a follower of Christ, as I prepare for Good Friday and Easter, this song deeply touches me and expresses my beliefs.

"He became sin
Who knew no sin
That we might become His Righteousness
He humbled Himself and carried the cross.

Love so amazing.
Love so amazing.

Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all."

This Holy Week, enjoy Chris Tomlin talking about and singing this beautiful song, Jesus Messiah.

Happy Easter.

  10. We sang that at church on Sunday too! It is such a meaningful song. We had a guy from Jews for Jesus come and do a presentation about Christ in the Passover that was mind blowing and we closed with that song. It was a powerful service. Happy Easter to you as well!

  11. yes glenda..as we walk the journey to the cross with our replacement. I was just thinking yesterday how Jesus fulfilled it all so we could stand face to face with God like Moses did...and I can have a relationship with the God of the universe because of Jesus sacrifice and doing what we could never do. to pour out our praise at the feet of the One...
thank you for your prayers and words...really

  13. I love this song, too. I'll be singing it all day now--but that's okay. I love the names of Jesus. When I stop to count the names that speak to the character and love of my Savior it's hard to let unworthy thoughts of worry and regret enter.

May your Resurrection Sunday be filled with joy!

  15. No bandwidth so can't listen to the music. I am furiously happy it's Resurrection Easter...or is that redundant? It's what makes this ole world come out right.

  24. I believe The Lord Jesus Christ is God, The Son of God, and The Messiah; as clearly taught in The Bible. The stakes are too high to be wrong about this.
