And the winner is . . .

Thank you so much for the great response to the personalized sign giveaway. And thanks again, to Andrea for her generosity.

OK, here is how it worked. I wrote every ones names, all 43 of them, on little slips of paper. Then I put them in one of my favorite bowls from Poland. It is high tech all the way for me . . .

After giving the names a good mix, I closed my eyes (really), and drew the winner.

 Are you ready?

Congratulations, Lia. You will have so much fun checking out Andrea's website and choosing a sign for your home. Lia is not a blogger, but she is a faithful reader of my blog.

Remember that there is a discount available for one more week, if you want to purchase a sign. Use the code GG5OFF in the comment section of your order for $5 off each sign.

Forgive me for posting the results a smidge early. Tomorrow morning when I usually would be posting my blog . . . I will be sitting in the oral surgeons chair. That same tooth of the root canal fame, is still betraying me. It is becoming blog famous. Trust me, this is the last time I will be blogging about said tooth. (Pray for me at 9 am.) My sis.in.law just sent me a note reminding me to be glad it is not open heart surgery. Ah, perspective.

11:00 update ~ I am already home resting. My oral surgeons office is one block from where Rahm is being sworn in today. (crazy Chicago) I have pain pills, ice pack, a huge stack of magazines, a good book, snacks, a husband to bring me anything I want and YOU. What else could a girl want.

  1. Yay!!!!!!!!! I would like to thank my mother for the raising she's been and still doing. Also, thank my dog for licking my feet every time I get to the computer. Oh, and thank you Glenda for this wonderful gift. I can't say "I never won anything" cause I first won the visa lottery to come to this wonderful country and now this :) Oh, and thank my husband for putting up with me. How's this for an acceptance speech? :)

  5. your perspective comment reminds me of the blessings list your daughters made. i believe one of them was "three trips to the dentist, not three trips to the oncologist." i have been complaining about a three-time return trip to the dentist this week and am thankful for the perspective!

  10. Congrat to Lia! I love the high-tech way you do your drawings! I use the same method, sans the Polish bowl. I use a basket!

  12. Congrats to Lia, who made as fine an acceptance speech as I've ever heard. LOL

Glenda, I hope you are resting and recuperating nicely with zero side effects or complications in Jesus' name!

Also, I read the post beneath this one and just love your cute patio and all your cute things. I'm SO not a shopper and when I see cute, good deals, it inspires me. We have a Home Goods store about 25 minutes away. :-)

  13. Congratulations to Lia! I hope your dental visit went well (as well as can be expected) and you are able to enjoy being tended to. By the way, I love that little Nicholas Mosse cream pitcher. He's a favorite and I have some of his mugs. They make me smile.

    Best,
    Bonnie
