Summertime Blogging

It is hot in Chicago right now. It is humid in Chicago right now. It is NOT Seattle.

In the winter time, I love blogging from my cozy and warm kitchen. I use our kitchen table as my desk.

But for these warm summer days, I have moved to our dinning room table. Since we are on the second floor, I feel like I am in a tree house.

For the next seven weeks of summer, I am switching to blogging twice a week. (Monday and Thursday) Then we will be approaching my favorite season, Fall. Who knows, maybe then I will blog from the patio table on the porch . . .

Come back on Friday, for a fun giveaway.

How is your summertime blogging going?

  1. Hi lovely neighbour,

Well, our children break up from school for the summer holiday at the end of this week...so we shall see how it goes from there!!

English summers are vairable - some days are hot but most are mild. We never quite know what to expect!!

  3. I usually blog from my favorite end of our reclining sofa in the family room. It's hot here too. Our summer has been not been lazy =) Always something going on! Today it's camp for Ellen and wisdom teeth extraction and a tooth implant for Greta. I'm sure Greta will do fine but it does concern this Mom. I will play the role of a nurse for a few days....as well as taxi driver for camp runs!

    Have a great day, Glenda!

  4. When the humidity spikes I go to the basement! Me and my trusty laptop.... I blog 3 times a week ~ Monday, Wednesday and Friday but during the summer months it can sometimes be less after all ~ there is too much living to do ~ right!

  5. I usually blog from my family room, sitting on the couch. My blogging this summer is going better than it did during the fall and winter when I was taking accounting. I love stopping by here, Glenda...I always feel like I am joining you for a cup of coffee or tea. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming.

  6. My summertime blogging is done from a table that tucks under our kitchen island where barstools might be expected. We call it the "office" in this open plan condo. Summer is gradually fitting into a smoother rhythmn so I can get to computer in the earlier part of the day.

  12. I hope you are staying cool and collected. That's not always easy to do at the height of a Chicago summer. The view from your dining room is really lovely and will inspire many lovely thought. My family - all of children and grandchildren - will be here the first 10 days of August. The older grandchildren will stay with us through the end of the month. We leave for Turkey in mid September so my summer blogging is frantic. I'm trying to get ahead of the curve and have my posts all set to go. It is not easy to do, but I think we'll be able to accomplish it - or die trying :-). Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings...mary

  14. I've downgraded from 5 days/week to 3 for the summer so I can spend more time with the boys. Often I take my laptop out to the patio. Even though summers are HOT in Nebraska, under the umbrella with the breeze wafting, it's not too bad (that's where I am right now!).

  15. I think it's good that you have a blogging schedule. I really should do that as well. I have a schedule for my parenting column, and it's easy to make the deadlines. As busy as I am this summer, it's hard to get non-scheduled material out.

  17. I've had a hard time fitting blogging in this summer. But it keeps me sane. Writing helps me figure out what's rattling around in this ol' brain. :)
