Glenda was not a good listener

This adorable picture with the title Glenda was not a good listener, was recently e.mailed to me by Jenny, with a note ~ "You are a really good listener?" Sweet Jenny!

This oil painting is used by permission from Janet Hill.
We love all of her work, even if she thinks I am not a good listener. :-)

PS. Thanks so much for your kind words and prayers for our family as we prepare to send our daughter to England. You guys are the best and it means so much to this mom.

  1. Love that painting! I remember the joy of having a phone that wasn't black.....we had olive green and bone phones way back in the day =)

I am sure you are a wonderful listener and I bet your girls are too!

Have a wonderful week......we are heading to a DE beach tomorrow for a week with the fam! Looking forward to it!

  2. Glenda, I imagine you are a very good listener and a great Mom! How exciting for Christy. I wish her the very best...she is coming at a great time of year. Don't forget, if there is anything I can do.....

    Only to happy. :)

  10. Cute picture, Glenda, though I think you are a fantastic listener!

And congrats on getting your Illinois driver's license...sounds like you take your life in your hands every time you turn on the ignition. When we visited Chicago 3 years ago we took cabs everywhere, which was nerve wracking enough! :0 I'm sure you'll fall into a safe driving groove.

And I just prayed for your precious girls, particularly that God will ease their transitions. I know what it's like to be separated from a sister--mine lives 1200 miles away. Thank God for airplanes!

  14. I agree wholeheartedly. I am out on my front porch and the crickets and circadas are singing and it is almost dark except for my computer light..and I think of your heart and your girls. My girl came home from camp and said the word missionary...Oh Glenda that they live wholeheartedly as Christ followers. What more could we ask for?
So many are and will bathe them in prayer. And it is prayer that is key yes? believing prayer. Oh Glenda He is still the God of the Red Sea and what He can and will do. I am making a prayer journal and I will add your daughters under the church day. You are a runner that is running the race that I look up to...
