QUIET: My favorite way. 31 Days of Christmas Wonder (day 9)

Sometimes the month of December can get, well . . . crazy. (we have all been there, right?) And finding some time for sweet quiet will take some intenionality. But oh, it is so worth it.

Today I want to share with you our favorite, simple, and refreshing way to find some quiet every day during the month of December.

A few years ago, Dave and I discovered a Christmas medley that we both loved . . . the kind of music that touches your soul and delights your spirit. Seven sweet minutes of listening together each night, with just the Christmas tree lights on, provides a perfect quiet moment and a lovely shared experience. (most nights we listen to it three or four times . . . itis just too beautiful to stop.)

The Worship Medley . . . oh my, you are in for a treat.

Merry Christmas in October.

  1. I love, love, love, this idea, Glenda. I loathe the idea of the Christmas season speeding by without (for me) essential quiet moments. Many nights my hubby and I will just quietly sit by the tree and soak it all in. But your music suggestion would add a lovely ambiance and real meaning. :-)

  6. Glenda, I tried finding this on youtube but couldn't; did find other lovely songs that lifted my heart. Many thanks for the nudge in that direction.
Dave and I have quite time throughout the day; we share a cup of coffee...in the sun room...smile in the morning and we share a glass of wine there in the evening. Throughout the day, we share a meal as I fix three meals a day; we're old fashioned thataway.
