Why my husband take his vitamins every day and I often forget

I am an organized person ... in a very unorganized way. My house is clean, menu planned and laundry done.

But

I am not sure where my passport is and I can rarely find a receipt when I need it.

And

I often forget to take my vitamins (even though I mean to.)

My husband, on the other hand, knows where is stuff is AND takes his vitamins every day.

Dave is a smart (and cute) guy. He has told me how he does it -every day he links the things he wants to remember to do ... to the things he already does.

For example, every day while he waits for the tea kettle to boil, he does his back exercises and takes his vitamins. Every day. Every. single. day.

And me ...

I am in bed waiting for Dave to bring me my morning cup of tea. That is what I do. Every. single. day.

(I suspect that is why I often forget to take my vitamins.)

Linking to Soli Sisters, who I am sure take their vitamins every day.

  1. Humor! I now understand why you forget your vitamin pills, yes! But why not put them on your bedside table? Every time you are waiting for tea, you take your vitamin pill.

Sigh, I'am such woman like you!

  2. Ha!At the end of the day I sometimes say "has anyone seen me take my vitamins today?" I need a consistent time to take them, your husband has the right idea...and how sweet that he brings you tea!

  4. Had to smile, there are things like this I do too. I am working to create some routines to help me stay better organized. I am neat but not always as organized as I could be. I confess to be a work in progress. Happy Monday! :)

  5. I take my pils every day, well most days, vitamins on the other hand...not so much. I'm working at being more organized. It's work for me since it does not come naturally.

  7. Ha, ha. Well it seems to me that you have a simple solution. Dear husband needs to bring your vitamins with your cup of tea. Every single day!

  12. I just had to read this due to the title because it is hard for me to remember to take my vitamins, too!! I'm with all the others voting for your hubby to bring the vitamins with the tea. :+) just have him link it to bringing your tea! Tee-hee.

  13. I had such trouble remembering to take my prenatal vitamins at first. Finally, I just put them on my beside and take one before bed. That's the only way it works for me!

  17. You definitely got the better end of the stick :-) Tea in bed, indeed! Perhaps he could bring the vitamin capsule along with your tea. He sounds like a wonderful guy. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary

  18. Glenda, I stooped to using one of those weekly pill holders that have compartments for each day of the week. Trouble is, I take so many vitamins, I use three of those pill holders!

  19. I can so relate to this humorous post. I have to take mine at breakfast, but always forget to take my calcium at lunch. I'm afraid I can't "link" everything to something else, I wouldn't get much done because I have "But first..." syndrome.

I've been keeping up with you on GReader (I love reading your posts) and haven't commented in a while. I do appreciate you stopping by my corner of the world and your comments are an encouragement for me.

  20. So sweet Glenda! I don't have tea in bed but I do forget my vitamins and Scott doesn't! But my problem is that I"m not very organized and he is! He even fixes my little cup of vitamins and sets them out - I still forget to take them. I think I multitask a bit too much and my brain is scattered here there and everywhere!
