Can you name the movie that this title was taken from?
It is a favorite movie and a favorite saying at our house ... that shows up anytime we are talking about my favorite color ... GREEN.
Since Christy is home for a visit, we have had some great lunches together. She is a great, healthy and very green cook.
What did you have for lunch today?
ps. In case you would like to reproduce this lunch, it is romaine lettuce, kale, cucumber, sprouts, avocado, goat cheese and navy beans ... all from Trader Joe's.

Green is my favorite color too! And, a plate without a little green on it just isn't as appealing. I don't recognize that movie line--another hint please.
ReplyDeleteSo good that you are enjoying your daughter being home.
Best,
Bonnie
I love green too....so does my Grandson Aidan! I'm sad to say that I don't know the movie that quote is from. I eat lots of greens, trying to keep my blood sugar in healthy range. Enjoy your time with your daughter, how very special!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really good! Nothing like a great salad! YUM!
ReplyDeleteHi Glenda
ReplyDeleteI love it and it looks so very yummy. Good for my diet. Have a wonderful time with your sweet daughter. God Bless xoxo Kate
Let's see.....an apple, crackers, cheese, lunch meat cut into little circles, an Almond Joy (just a tiny one - but coconut is a fruit and almonds have protein) and a lot of water!
ReplyDeleteHave no idea what movie the title is from ~ you will have to share! I had ham & cheese on oatmeal brown bread ~ kinda boring but I was enjoying my book while I ate in the sunshine today so it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I love that movie! I had a veggie burger today for lunch. I think the salad looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteYou're talking my language! My favorite movie...we quote it all of the time too. Plus Greens, especially Kale is the best, and so is the Childers family :)
ReplyDeleteGlenda,
ReplyDeleteI had soup from Trader Joe's... great tasting low sodium varieties. Dinner, however, was home made chili - so much hardier and filling.
Don't know this movie so please do share the name of it!!
A Chicago classic. Return to Me. Do I win a prize?

Yum! That looks so good. :)
ReplyDeleteAfter a morning of election work, we went out to Pop's for salads. Edamame salad with shrimp.
ReplyDeleteLunch looks good. Another great way to use Kale. I don't know that movie. I've got to look in comments to see if I see an answer.
ReplyDeleteThat salad looks fabulous. I too am a salad and ♥green♥ lover. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Glenda! I can recognize that this is a delicious looking lunch and probably tasted even better with your Christy across the table from you but I don't recognize that quote. Scott calls me a movie star moron so I guess that makes me a movie moron too! :)
ReplyDeletesalad looks wonderful and I love Trader Joe's! as to lunch...no lunch but made a kielbasa bean type cassoulet for supper...rather tasty, if I do say so myself -grin-.
ReplyDeleteThat salad looks yummy! I don't know the movie, but now I am curious! I love that book you recommended by Jerry Sittzer, A Grace Disguised...so good and it was really comforting when my mom passed away. Thank you for visiting the other day. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks absolutely delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteI was reading the Family Celebrations book you recommended on your blog a while back and I LOVE it!! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. I was thinking about how much I learn from you and Shelley. LOTS!!
ReplyDeleteYou are a bit like my mentors from afar, without even realising! Thank you so much.
Sarahxxx
I am embarrassed to tell you,
ReplyDeleteI had McDonald's as I raced to
school for conferences!!!
I can't remember the last time
I had McD's : )
I hope you are having a blast
with your daughter. Savor it,
my friend!!
Happy Halloween,
xo Suzanne
