Summer Dress Code

It is summertime in Chicago.

As I have been taking my morning walks in our hipster neighborhood, I have been watching the crowds on the way to the el.

Have you ever wondered what hipsters wear in the summer?

GUYS:

*skinny knee length shorts and a tee

*skinny jeans rolled up and a dress shirt

GIRLS:

*super cute skirts and a tee

*super cute dresses and sandles

What do you wear in the summertime?

ps. The wedding is in five days. :)

  1. Yay for an upcoming wedding!!

I haven't quite figured out the dress code here in Fla. yet. I feel like it is summer so I am in linen pants, sleeveless shells, and skirts all the time. :-) My friends here make fun of me for having a cold house. Our air conditioning comes on when it is 75* in the house. I tell them 75* is a hot summer's day in Seattle.

  2. Glenda,
I love that you posted during the one week count down!!
Clothing in the summer: dress or skirt during the week; bathing suit on weekends! Well, of course not to church.. that would be a dress!!
    Keep yourself well. Enjoy Sunday.

  7. Capris, shorts, tops, sandels. But it's back to chilly weather here in Chicago area today and I'm in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. And it sounds like it's not going to warm up for several days.....

  11. Capris and a t-shirt. In fact, I wear those all year-round. I have about three dress-up outfits, nothing else in my closet but capris, t-shirts, and lightweight pullover hoodies with cute motifs on the fronts.

  12. For church and business, always skirts/blouses or dresses. For the farm, sometimes denim skirts/dresses, sometimes jeans.
How did the wedding go? Y'all have been in my thoughts and prayers.
