New Title ... Same Glenda

I thought about blogging for a long while before I actually began. I knew I loved to write and share ideas, but it was my fear of technology that held me back.

When a WorldVenture co-worker came to visit us at the lake house, it was her strong and persistent pep talk that made me believe, even I could learn to turn on the computer.

In January of 2010, Dave and I were heading down to Cannon Beach, Oregon. While Dave was teaching at Ecola Bible School, I was drinking coffee, taking walks on the beach and reading my newly purchased copy of Blogging for Dummies.

On January 13, 2010, I wrote my first post on my new blog, Gg: Notes on the Journey.

I had really wanted my blog to be called Gg, like my original newsletter. Easy to remember, easy to pass along to someone, and very me. But that name was already taken. (bummer) So ... it was Gg: Notes on the Journey.

Until yesterday ... 468 posts later, I am changing my blog title to Fondly, Glenda.

You will still find

*the same content (a practical blog with stories, pictures, lessons
and recipes from my life as a Christian woman)

     *bullet points (which I love)

*pictures of my family (which I adore)

     *and lots of these ...

Just a new title. What do you think?

ps. You can still access my blog under either name. And you can still call me Gg.

  4. Hi Glenda! Thank you for coming over to my blog today, so we could meet. I will be your newest follower, and I hope you'll come on over and be mine too.

There is a Blogging for Dummies???? Where was I when this came out? I would have enjoyed that book. Maybe I should still buy it. Was it helpful?

I think sharing our stories and lessons is so important. We need each other! I hope I'll learn a lot here... Oh yes, "Let's chat!"

  18. II really like the name change. We all have to rearrange the furniture at times. I just changed the name of my blog to Heart-Filled Moments from Open My Ears Lord. Soon the design will be complete on WordPress and then there will be only one link up.

  19. Love it! I'm in the process of putting together a new blog. Small details yet to be done. I love the 'friendly' sound of your blog - not that it wasn't friendly before! It just exudes a sense of having a heart-to-heart chat with you.

  21. The new look and title are great, Glenda. I'm so envious of your .com; is your web person taking on new clients?

  22. The new name is perfect...I think we all need a blog overhaul occasionally. It keeps things fresh and helps the motivation to continue. Your header is perfect. No matter what you changed the name to...I would still find you!

  25. Glenda, I like your name, too. The great thing about a blog is that it can really be what you want it to be. I hope you are well.

  26. Love the new name and layout! And gives me hope that one day I too, can learn to figure out computer things. Right now it's a 50/50 shot between which one will happen first, my eyes glazing over, or my computer imploding itself in effort to get away from me!

    Have a great Sunday!
