A Timely Reminder

My husband could tell you some funny stories of how often I need a reminder. Just yesterday it was, "Glenda, there is an empty pan on the stove and the burner is on." (opps ~ I had moved on to cleaning the bathroom and had forgotten.)

Even more, I need constant reminders of truth from God's Word. I think God understands our need for timely reminders ... as the word remember shows up 148 times in the Bible.

In Titus 3:1-2 Paul says, "Remind them to...

*be submissive to rulers and authorities

     *be obedient

*be ready for every good work

     *speak evil of no one

     *avoid quarreling

     *be gentle, and

*show perfect courtesy toward all people."

This is a timely reminder for me as I begin this new week.

  1. I, too, need constant reminders - from God, from my sweetheart, my family and friends. The reminders from God are always gentle. I loved this post, my friend - it was just what I needed today!

  6. Glenda, every time I visit you, I'm so encouraged. It seems blog land is full of authors who are young enough to be my children (if not grandchildren!) and there's seems to be so little for older women. Your blog is a shining example of a Titus woman; bless you!
