31 days of bits and pieces from Fondly, Glenda: Day one ~ Creativity

Day one
I am a creative being. So are you.

Whenever I am feeling a little dull in the creativity department, I know I can jump start my brain by ... doing something creative.

It can be something small, like rearranging my living room (just a little), or looking at a magazine, or chatting with my creative daughters.

Lately, I have been doing a little bit of art journaling, using some watercolors, tapes and markers.
What is fueling your creativity these days?

  1. I would say it's quilting. I love color and pattern and the main joys of my life come with creating a new design in fabric.

  2. Reading cookbooks, food magazines and recipes fuel my creativity. I love the heartier food of autumn and spend pleasurable hours around food.

  3. I am writing poetry, which is a newer form of writing for me.

  4. I am writing history books. But I love also making cards with maps on it. Is map the good englisch words for it? I buy old atlases with world maps. And cut the maps out. I stick them on cards. Very simple, not really creative. Now I sent a card to my friend in America with a Dutch map of America on it. I know she loves it!

  5. I would love to get some good watercolors and a watercolor journal. Ahhh, feels so good to my soul just thinking about it. Hope to do this soon after the launch!

  6. Emily creating projects for her new (first!) home. And a new fountain pen. I forgot how fun they are to use in my journal. I need to take an art class. I'm so pitiful at drawing. ~Pamela P.S. I've missed you!

  7. Not feeling very creative these days... We are in the middle of yet another remodel.... even though, I feel as if all we do is recreate....not feeling creative... I think art journaling is great.. I have not done that for many years... maybe I will give that a try.. My hubby and I were just talking this morning about how God made us to be creative...the enemy wants to steal that flow...which steals our joy and satisfaction in life...yes, I think I need to do something creative...not because I have to (remodel!!) no, because I need and want to....Blessings!

  8. My creativity has been on hold for quite awhile as I tend to the needs of my dear mother. But, it's raising up and calling to me. While my dear hubby is away chasing deer through the woods I plan to make some new drapes for the double patio doors in the dining room - and maybe do a few other things creative. You've inspired me to get going!
