Day 20 ~ Monday

It is Monday morning and I am wondering how you feel about Mondays. Which camp are you in this morning, or every Monday?

Mondays are one of my favorite days of the week. I love fresh starts, new beginnings, clean slates. It is also why I love January.

Fresh starts remind me of one of my favorite verses.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

For the past two years, I spend Mondays with my daughter, Jenny and now her daughter, Lillian. We talk, drink tea, prep meals for her week, do a little organizing and take a walk.

I love Mondays.

Which camp are you in?

  1. Love this perspective!! Mondays are just another day around here. We are farmers so we don't experience the "take 2 days off" thing lol.

  2. When I was working I was in the camp of pretend it's not Monday. Now that I'm retired I love Mondays. It's a chance to get back into the routine of the week after the weekend. And, so far, it's a day I don't have to attend to too many things except home and family.

  3. I love Mondays as long as I don't have to work. Mondays are like having a space of my own, a margin where little details take place to kick off the week.

  4. I like holiday Mondays ~ do they count? I laugh of all the oh no ~ not Monday again but we do tend to fall into that trap. Maybe if I was not working full time I would find more joy in a Monday morning with no alarm. Tuesdays are the days I usually drag my butt and I am slow going. Funny how a change is perspective can fix things though.

  5. I really hate Mondays. I need a day to get going. I try not to make appointments on Mondays unless I have to.

  7. What a beautiful way to spend your Mondays. I have learned to keep my Mondays very simple whenever I can. It sure makes life easier. As a wife & mom I find that I need Mondays to be quiet, simple and for me as much as possible to recover from all the busy-ness and togetherness of the weekend. It helps me get my feed underneath me for the week.
