Day 3 ~ Tea

There are few things that make the Childers' family happier than these words ... "does anyone want tea?"

Our family, sometimes known as "the beverage family," loves tea.

We drink tea:

*when we wake up and before we go to bed

*when the weather is hot or cold

*when we are alone or together

*when we are celebrating something big or small

*when we are hungry, angry, lonely or tired

*when we are reading or watching tv

*when we are in the car or walking to the el

Our family loves tea. Thanks, Scotland, England, and Ireland for teaching us to make a proper cup of tea.

What is your favorite beverage?

  1. I sat in an Irish Pub last evening, sitting in front of a fireplace and enjoying a delightful cup of tea. You are going to love having tea parties with your sweet grandbaby. ~Pamela

  2. What kind of tea do you drink? Do you add anything to it like cream or sugar?

  3. Ah, tea sounds so lovely. We're still in the blistering days of our hottest summer in decades so I haven't pulled out the tea yet. Can't wait. I like my Citrus Chamomile, with nothing added. :)

  7. I love tea...hot and cold...no sugar please. I love it in the afternoon and evening (I have to have a jolt of coffee in the morning!). I love Bigelow and herbal Celestial teas. Green teas are big on my agenda...sometimes I let a green tea bag steep with another just to get a bit of those good properties. I've often wanted to try to make tea with the leaves and the little ball. (?) Do you do that? Is it worth it? Oh..and .nothing is better for an upset stomach than tea and toast! :)

  9. We love tea too!!! My son and I have a tea called Teeccino every morning. It's a coffee substitute tea. We also love ginger, mint, and other various types of teas. At night we especially like chamomile, and a couple of different blends such as Easy Now, Nighty Night and Chamomile with Lavender--all from Traditional Medicinals. We also enjoy good old iced sweet tea too! But hot tea is the best!

  10. My favorite beverage is coffee--good coffee made strong and hot with heated half and half. Tea is a close second. If it's hot tea, then no sugar. If it is iced, I like it sweet with lemon poured over lots of ice cubes in a large glass.

    Best,
    Bonnie

  11. It's tea for me! Coffee and I don't agree so I've learned to enjoy many kinds of tea. And I drink it at the same times you and your family enjoy a cup of tea - any time!
