Day 5 ~ Reading the New Testament with new eyes

I have committed, along with my church, to read the New Testament in October and November. And we are using a great format that is helping me see the New Testament with new eyes.

This is a 40 day reading plan that takes about 30 minutes, five days a week. I have set aside my Bible study girl methods... no underlining, no taking notes, no looking for key words and lists. Just reading it as a story ... a love story. I am loving it.

Here is a short and interesting video that explains why they designed The Books of the Bible New Testament.

Have you ever read the New Testament?

  1. Dear Glenda, Thank you so much for coming to visit! Yes, I have read most of the New Testament and I think you will love this program....

  2. Yes, I have read the New Testament many times. This sounds like a wonderful plan. I'm going to share it with my pastor. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  3. What a refreshing way to read the New Testament! I'd like to try it!

  4. I've recently read through Ephesians and Phlippians. I read them in several translations and, like you, no notes, no underlining. I like how easy it is to quickly switch from one to another on my phone or tablet.

One of the activities I did when I was a companion to an elderly couple in their home, was to read from their Bible (King James, which is not my favorite) after lunch. We read through the new Testament.

    I'm loving this series, Glenda.

  5. This is very cool - how do we find this study/Bible version? I watched the video (and loved it) but I don't see a link anywhere. Am I missing it?

Let's chat.
